Almost a year ago, I put my kids in a new preschool where I didn’t know ANYONE. It may sound like total first world problems, but it was a really scary thing for me to do- leaving the comfort and familiarity of our beloved day school for one that I felt would better meet my kids’ needs. I knew God had led us to the right place for our kids but for ME, leaving my group of friends was scary (of course I didn’t let my own discomfort weigh heavy in making the best decision for my kids.) But I braved it and at orientation, I recognized another sweet mama from our church (30 minutes away) and immediately felt a connection. We became friends and leaned on each other when we needed help. One of my favorite moments of the YEAR was when her sweet 3 year old was riding in my car and said, “Miss Courtney…your car is MESSY!” I mean, she wasn’t wrong. I would blame it on 3 kids in a minivan but her mama also rocks a swagger wagon and made it look easy.
Well, when I found out that this sweet mama would soon be moving across the country, I was so sad. I was, however, overjoyed to get the opportunity to capture their beautiful family before they moved away from Texas. Park family, we miss you lots here in the lone star state!
